General Questions

What devices does Till run on?

Till has been tested on the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS. It also runs on iPod Touch devices, as well as on the iPad (in the iPhone compatibility mode).

In order to run Till, you will need a device with iOS 4.3 or later.

Will there be a native iPad version of Till available??

There are currently no plans to make an iPad version of Till. However, if Till becomes popular enough, I would certainly consider making it a Universal app.

Can I add my own events?

No.

Till is meant as a companion app for the Calendar that is already built into your device. There are many countdown apps on the App Store that are meant to be separate from the Calendar.

Can I set alarms or notifications?

No.

Your device’s Calendar is a perfect place to do that.

Privacy

How does Till use my personal calendar data?

Till reads your calendar data only to display it back to you. It does not transfer this data anywhere.

The current version of Till, does not modify your calendar data. In a future versions, if a feature is added that would modify your data, it would be optional and turned off by default.

If I share Till with my friends using the built in Share screen, will you know my e-mail address?

No.

The email will be sent from your account directly to your friends’ addresses.

Technical Support

The app keeps crashing. What can I do?

This may happen if you have a large number of events. The app has been tested and found to work with over 2,500 events, on both iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

If you do have a large number of events, and you have selected to show events for the next 1, 2, or 5 years, you can reset this setting by doing the following:

  • go to you device’s Settings app
  • scroll down to “Till” and select it
  • on the next screen, switch the Reset Settings switch to ON
  • reopenTill

This procedure does not remove your favorite event and calendar tags.
